Lovecontu Song de Light Lovecontu Audio Set by Kaitlynzq
I don’t think this was a book for me and thus it negatively impacted the way I experienced this book. Although unique, I found myself often zoning out while listening to this book.

Read MoreThis book was recommended to me by a bookstore employee after I mentioned loving The Count of Monte Cristo but it also perfectly represents the science fiction genre as written in the 1950s with some fantastic ideas and characters.
Read MoreKatie Jane Gallagher is a new author who did a great job of creating a unique storyline and take on the ability to see ghosts. However, there were definitely some frustrations reading this book which I attribute to Gallagher being so new.
Read MoreI have mixed feelings about this book. On one hand, I love the premise and most of the action and magic that is prominent. On the other hand, the love triangle and certain moments are out of place and annoying. Overall, I enjoyed but unsure if I will continue this series.
Read MoreThis book is for those that love books. In each carefully crafted word and sentence, you can see the author’s love of literature and words. Setterfield beautifully crafted so many passages with wonderful language and style that had me rereading just so I could feel the warmth in my soul over and over again as I read them.
Read MoreI had high hopes for this book which may have been my downfall. I saw such great reviews for it and even though I usually don't enjoy family sagas, I tried it out.
Read MoreIsabel Allende’s works were recommended to me by a follower after I read One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez and was pretty lost. This book, The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende, is of a similar genre but a bit easier to read.

Read MoreWhile reading this book, I went through so many strong emotions; anger, frustration, disbelief, shock, sympathy, heart-wrenching sadness and horror. Tara Westover so wonderfully depicted a harsh reality with such beautiful writing.
Read MoreThis was the final installment of a fantastic series that I read within a couple months because I just had to know how it ended. Although I did enjoy this book as well, the first two in the series were definitely better. This one was a touch too long and certain developments with the characters were slight disappointments. So I'm on the fence between 3.5 -4 stars.
Read MoreBad Blood, Whispers of Nowhere, A Gathering of Shadows and The Count of Monte Cristo. As well as what I was reading in 2018 (i.e one of my all-time favs and inspiration for one of my tattoos, The Girl in The Tower).
Read MoreI’m sorry, I’m fangirling hard right now. Needless to say, I would 100% recommend this novel; it’s a time commitment yes, but worth every moment spent. It should be a classic spoken about more often because I believe it’s truly timeless and easily relatable even a hundred-fifty years later.
Read MoreWell, sh*t. That’s how I feel after just finishing this book. To be honest, I had never heard of the Theranos scam until my book club chose this book to read. And boy am I so glad this book was chosen.
Read MoreOverall, I enjoyed this book as it had an interesting plot filled with some Greek mythology, Gods and daemons. The character development and arcs were good and added to the overall plot. There’s a lot of action and a lot of things are revealed, but it’s written in an easier way to read so you don’t get lost in the chaos.
Read MoreAs always, V.E. Schwab has a wonderful way of creating complex characters and compelling fantasy worlds that are so real you feel like you could step through the pages and walk right alongside them. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite fantasy authors as she writes these worlds with a fantastic balance of descriptive, action and emotional scenes. You begin to love the world she created while also loving her twisted characters.
Read MoreWhere the Crawdads Sing, Between Sisters, Less, I’ll Be Gone in the Dark, When the Dead Have it Easy. As well as what I was reading in 2018 (i.e one of my all-time favs, The Bear and The Nightingale).
Read MoreI've been reading this series since the beginning and was so excited for this book to come out as the romantic plotline was expected to move forward. So far, I think this is one of my favorite of the series as the writing really made you feel all the emotions with the characters and it becomes a bit deeper.
Read MoreThis was an amazing piece of true crime and investigative journalism. What made it even more amazing is that not only do you get the story of a serial killer, you also hear about it from a fascinating woman obsessed with finding the killer in a non-biased, factual manner.
Read MoreKristin Hannah’s, The Nightingale is one of my favorite WWII books due to it's creativity and writing style. After I read that, I knew I had to read more of her books. I finally listened to Between Sisters and although it won't be making my favorites list, I really enjoyed this story of familial love.
Read MoreAlthough this book was very well-written, I found it hard to believe it deserved the Pulitzer and I was not awed or shocked by the story line. In fact, I found myself bored many many times and skimming just so I could finish it sooner.
